داستان درمورد اهالی کشوریه که بخاطر باهوش بودنشون خیلی طرفدار دارن، کارشون زیاده، پس تصمیم می‌گیرن که احمق باشن تا یکم راحت‌تر باشن. احمق می‌شن. خیلی خیلی احمق. :))

I think I've read this book before but I might as well re-read it as I like/love most of Erich Kaestner's books.

This actually "hurt" to read. Yes, I know that sounds bizarre but is true. The fact that these towns people were very 'clever' in the beginning and then turned stupid... was just stupid. Which by the way made me think that they were already from the beginning stupid. I mean who leaves their wives behind like this to go and work for an emperor?

I'm sorry Mr Kästner but this book wasn't for me. But I did appreciate the ending about stupid and clever people.
