The main character finds herself jobless after the diner where she works closes and interviews for a position as a caregiver for a gentleman in a wheelchair. He's ornery and nasty and has tried to commit suicide in the past. He used to be an adventurous, globetrotting, high-powered guy and is livid with the lot in life he's been dealt. How it all plays out is what kept me reading until the wee hours of the night.
Also, this book makes me want to read all the other things the author has written. :) Lucky for me there's more.

I 100% agree with the decisions made in this book. It also felt more of a Lou journey to me than a love story. Love doesn't conquer all and that's a perfectly fine outlook on life.

Though this is not a literary masterpiece, I was pleasantly surprised by the story. I knew very little about the book before I started, only that it was a bestseller and a tearjerker. I was expecting some unoriginal girl-meets-boy story with an unhappy ending, but I had not expected all the painful details about living as a quadriplegic and the ethical discussion about whether or not, in such a situation, you have the right to decide you don't want to live anymore. The story is moving and touches upon topics that are very relevant. It makes you acutely aware of the way your life can change from one moment to the next, and grateful for what you have.

No me siento bien después de leer el libro. Fue hermoso y la vez extraño. Llore como por 10 minutos y aun no puedo creer que llore, en realidad soy demasiado sentimental, así que probablemente fue eso.
El final me dejo totalmente destrozada, a pesar de que sabia como terminaría, cierta parte de mi esperaba que Will aceptaría seguir viviendo.
Sinceramente recomiendo el libro, aunque al principio no me gusto. Después, Will y Lou se conocieron me empezó a gustar un más.

This book was so good. The romance and story are absolutely beautiful. Lou is so cute and such a fun character!
