this was laugh out loud funny the entire way as lana's books always are. there's few things i love more than a friends to lovers full of mutual pining and banter and the added sprinkles of spicy brattiness just made it so much better. lana your smut is fucking everything to me, god is so good
Inhaled this one! So cute! Maybe because I’m a hockey fan and I love characters like Jack but I genuinely found it very light-hearted and adorable.

I absolutely loved Lana Ferguson's The Nanny, but after my disappointment with The Fake Mate and now this one, I'm worried she's going to be a one-hit-wonder author for me. I'm already not a fan of hockey romance, or just sports romance in general (Deep End was a very, very rare exception), so I already knew this wasn't going to be my favorite. However, the fake dating plot felt recycled from The Fake Mate, only this one didn't have the fun grumpy/sunshine thing going for it... the writing and pacing were really inconsistent and it only began to pick up towards the last quarter. The side characters were great, but I didn't particularly care for Delilah or Ian. :/ I plan to try Under Loch and Key though, so hopefully I'll like that one better.
and in terms of kink-lite sports romances, The Game Changer walked so Deep End could run bye

The book was fun and flirty - a fun read. But I want more on Jack - Ian was perfectly good and dreamy - but tell me Jacks story - he is who I want to read about - him finding someone tok put up w his ridiculousness.
Maybe he ends up w another side character we met in this book?

This was really cute! I will say that any book with Zachary Webber narrating is pretty much a guaranteed win for me but even aside from excellent narrators (Samantha Summers was also great), the story was really lovely. I love a childhood friends to lovers/brothers best friend and Ian and Delilah were so adorable. Loved all the found family aspects as well as some of the actual family parts. Ian's dad is pretty much the worst but the rest of his family ends up being pretty awesome. I laughed, I blushed, I swooned, I teared up. All good stuff.
