A book of haiku written by dogs (as told by various dogs to poet Steve Marsh, coincidentally). An idea so clever and simple you wonder why no one did it before.

The collection is a beautifully bound work filled to the brim with pictures and haiku. The first thing you want to do when you pick up the tome is to flip through the pages and see if your dog's breed is represented (mine was). Then you start scanning the haiku (divided in sections such as "Cleanliness", "Cats" and "Eating") and find yourself laughing out loud at some of these dogs' audacity. For example:

"All day I sniff butts.
I come home to celebrate
By kissing your face."

Another zinger:

"You speak so proudly
of dog domestication.
We adopted YOU!"

A perfect gift for dog lovers and a fine collection of haiku for the silly side of your collection or poetry reading.
