This was not the story I thought it would be. Really different from other works of hers that I read. This one is a strange mystery, intentionally disarming and confusing. It's not bad, but not what I was looking for. And a bit triggering because it deals with a topic that can easily get me into unhappy brain spirals. The characters are wholesome and it's a good story, but not right for me.

Super weird but kept me intrigued and the ending was super cute! Perfect HEA which is what I always look for!

  • Strong character development? No
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated

To be honest, the characters felt a bit like "damsel in distress" meets "dumb muscle", and the worldbuilding was very light. Still, the story started off with an intriguing situation and I got curious about how everything would turn out. It was a quick and enjoyable read, all in all.

I’m left a bit confused if I have to be honest. The last part of the novella deserved to be longer and was instead rushed.
I loved the premise and the idea behind this, but I’m not sure I’m a fan of novellas yet, I always feel like something is rushed and I wanted more.
Nevertheless, super sweet, weird read!

Enjoyable enough and plenty of mystery in the first two thirds of the story. Was classified as fantasy romance but there it was more living in a dream vs any world building or fantasy elements.
