This one had a lot of twists and turns. I was able to figure out who the murderer was in this one. I am enjoying this series so much I purchased the remaining books in the series. My only problem now is I just can't read them fast enough. I want to take a whole week off so I can finish the entire series. I just don't want to put these down.

The cozy murder mystery was well written out.
Comments about how Hannah herself should lose weight are too much. Nothing to do with story or her character really. Almost like a social commentary. Oh and how they decide not to make it public that the dead guy beat up his wife because his students idolized him? Not okay.

The nonsensical racist rambling about Native Americans (that literally provided nothing to the storyline) was almost enough for me to drop this book as a DNF. But I'm not a quitter.
I was also on a quest to see if the main character, Hannah, behaves any better towards people in this book. She does not and is, in my opinion still an unlikeable main character. Beyond the poor character growth, lack of atmosphere in the writing, and the racist BS, what was additionally disappointing....I was able to predict the ending.
So, I chalk this story up as a fail. Sorry miss Joanne. As someone living in Minnesota myself, I wanted to like this series. But I'm kind of sitting at an impasse at this point. To continue or not....hmm.

I kind of felt like I was reading a Hallmark movie. The main character, Hannah, is a big liar and I didn’t particularly enjoy that, but I enjoyed trying to solve the mystery and judging her for not catching on fast enough. Also I am now craving cookies.

I enjoy the recipes inserted in the story.
3.5 on this one. Not many twists in the story. Pretty straight forward and I guessed the ending about half way through. Still a fun read with lovable characters.
