This book was so fun to read! It is a lighthearted, murder, mystery story; which I know sounds weird, but it's really great! I recently learned of the genre of culinary mystery, and I must say it's been a blast! Not to mention all the yummy recipes!

I liked this one a bit more than the first one. I loved the bonding between Hannah and her sister Andrea as they worked together to solve the crime. I absolutely love the feel of the small town and how cozy (no pun intended) it is. What I wasn't crazy about is how Mike was literally only present in the beginning and then the last few chapters. I really like his character a lot and I just want more of him. There hasn't been enough Mike for me yet. I still really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to continuing on with the series.

Hannah keeps finding bodies and her mother is not happy about it. This time the body belongs to Coach Boyd Watson, who was judging a baking contest with Hannah. He wasn't exactly the best husband, but Hannah believes in Danielle's innocence and is sure she can prove Danielle didn't kill her husband.
Another good mystery, I think I read this one faster than the previous one. Hannah is a great main character and her theories make sense. Everything is OK up to a point where she just ignores some clues and walks right into the killer, which happened twice in two books now. Apart from that, I really enjoy the cookie recipes and I'm sorry we can't smell them baking.

Hannah and her zany orange cat Moisha are back at it again. A baking contest has come to Lake Eden, and Hannah is making her famous Strawberry Shortcake Swenson (yum! I always get so hungry and want to fill my house with cupcakes reading Joanne Flukeās cozies with all the delicious descriptions and recipes!)
But when one of the judges is murdered, and it happens to be the basketball coach who Hannah knows has been abusing his wife Danielle, suspicion turns to her. Hannah and her sister Andrea have to figure out what other clues there are and what other suspects there could be before the police make it a too-easy case of domestic abuse turned murder. This one was fun for all the twists, Hannah running all over town with a million cookies in the back of her truck, and the way the plot eventually worked out. I always love settling down in Lake Eden for a good cozy.
