I had a fun time reading it, even though the plot was kind of predictable. I wasn’t really a fan about Hannah’s self deprecating jokes about her weight though, but I suppose those were more normalized back when this book was published.

This was a good read. The same characters from the first book in the series were in this one, including many of the secondary characters. It was fun getting to see many of these characters again. The murder plot was interesting, and I enjoyed how the clues came out as to the murder’s identity.

I did enjoyed aspects of the previous book more than this one and vise versa. I would have liked for the police to have been more involved than they were in the investigation and the story in general. On the other hand, I really enjoyed and liked the development of the sisters’ relationship.

Enjoying reading through this cozy mystery series.. but ready for more storyline with the characters

Quick read and fun series. Murder mysteries never tasted so good. I definitely would not consider this intellectual literature, but more of an enjoyable don't need to think kind of series. Characters are fun, there is some Minnesota charm, and a lot of drool worthy recipes.

Never quite got over the jolt. Pity, for sure, but there's other pulp out there.

The recipes were delightful and I loved the relationship between Hannah and Lisa (although are they setting up Lisa to be a villain???)

There was a bunch of shocking and ableist language including calling a member of the community “the R-word man.” Couldn’t give it the three stars it would’ve gotten without the gut punching and derogatory language.

I don't love this series. I've read a few and find them okay, but not stellar. However, I seem to have run out of all the cozy mysteries that I do like, so I went back to finish up the ones I was missing (a lot of them) from this series since the library has all of them.

This was an entertaining read, but there wasn't a lot special about it. Hannah's a bit annoying and slightly full of herself. The recipes annoy me with her "tips." I did try one recipe from one of these books and it wasn't great. That didn't exactly inspire me to try many more. Not to mention that in this book, the only one that sounded tasty to me was the strawberry shortcake. And seriously, how is Hannah not as big as a house? The only real food I think she ate in this book was two trips to the buffet at the inn! The rest of the time she was chowing down on cookies and chocolate.
