I tried, for the life of me I could not slip into this story. It felt all over the place, and I never connected. It is a shame because I adored The Hating Game.

This book was so just so like idk even know how to describe the main character was too much
I get it, Darcy thinks so poorly of herself but is so weirdly idyllically obsessed with Tom! Had the genders been reversed, those feelings would be weirder. Not enough substance to honestly any of the leads, I couldn’t tell you a thing about them.
The Hating Game will probably always be my favorite of Thorne’s books— but ball-busting Darcy dug her way into my heart as well.
Sally Thorne has most definitely earned herself a place on my auto-buy list.

Entertaining quick read but there was just something a bit off about it. I can't really put my finger on it except to say that all the different components just slightly missed the mark for me: the plot, the characters, the dialogue. Meh.
Eh, pretty predictable. No real twists or unknowns. A decent little romance if you need one.
