I liked this book overall. Good banter and the main cast is likable.  It does move quickly and I wish it was written in third person since I got confused a few times between the POV switches, but I liked that we saw it from multiple perspectives

Wow.. Y'all weren't lying. The tension between Paedyn and Kai is top tier! The dialogue is so witty and humorous. The world system is easy to understand. The story focuses more on the relationship between the characters. The ending is so chaotic and devastating, I don't know how things will be fixed from here ?? I will definitely be diving into the rest of the series.

✨️ Some quotes I liked ✨️

‘If I am to be her enemy, I want it to be because she loathes herself for wanting me.’

‘So, you just want me? No powers?’
‘Yes. I just want you,’ she breathes, annoyed with me. My mouth twists into a crooked grin.
‘I knew you wanted me, Gray.’

I did not think the writing was very good. I wouldn't be able to take a shot every time the author used 'sticky' in the first chapter because I'd be too drunk to keep reading. Honestly, nearly made me DNF immediately. I also found the MMC insufferable for a decent portion of the book and I quite frankly I did not care about him. One positive thing I would like to say though, is, the chapters were short and the ending was entertaining.

I thought that the characters were mostly written quite well (
Paedyn’s ability to read people was way too unrealistic in my opinion
), however the writing was a little bit repetitive at times and certain moments (
like when Jax nearly died
) were completely unnecessary. I also thought that a lot was taken from other books, for example, The Hunger Games. Other than that though, it was quite good.
