Bridget Woods has been made to feel inadequate all her life. Her condescending family shamed both her body and her personality so badly that her scent has been permanently impacted and may hinder her ability to attract mates in spite of her omega status.
The Locke Pack needs someone to give them the appearance of having changed their ways. A fake engagement ought to do the trick. When the charade is called out though, the new pack Leader, Adrian, decides the pack needs to make this real. All four baseball alphas move into Bridget's tiny cottage and the pining ensues.
I liked the rapport and chemistry Bridget had with each of her alphas. They were easy to remember because of their individual traits and the way they connected with Bridget. This was also super hot! 🥵
If you're hoping for some voyeurism, exhibitionism, daddy kink, a pierced hero, and some knots, rutting, and heats characteristic of omegaverse romances, look no further.

So this is the first omegaverse (and first book by this author) I've ever read. I thought the tropes sounded good and that this 'pack' of guys were being alpha in the sense that I've read before, I seemed to miss the fact it did indeed say omegaverse romance so this was a new experience for me (ehem *knotting*).
I also haven't read the other books in this series so I didn't have any backstory for some of our side characters but as they can be read as standalone s this didn't detract from the experience.
This is a classic tale of a wallflower FMC being put down by others not realising how desirable or amazing she is. As she comes to terms with the fact that her arrangement with her pack may not be just for show we see her become more confident in herself and realise just how wonderful she really is.
This pack are fiercely protective and each of our MCs have different personalities and attributes that complement eachother to form the perfect pack. You can see them hurting inside when they find out all the times she has been unfairly treated in the past, including the fact that they themselves did that for a year before Adrian came along and whipped them into shape.
I loved that this was multiple POV so we got to see each of their perspectives.
For this being a sports romance we only got a sprinkling of it, the focus was definitely more on managing the fallout of the headlines surrounding their fake engagement. For ne there could have been even more pining for her pack whilst they were at away games, just a tad more mentions of baseball.
I found this to be a pleasant enough read but the jury is still out on whether I would pick up another omegaverse book in the future.

Enjoyed this omegaverse book, it was an entertaining read.
I liked the dynamic of Bridget just fully not believing in herself due to her sh!tty family. Initially I didn’t like the pack guys at all - while I get maybe it was her deal with them to be left alone, they really treated her poorly and I wasn’t loving that for an omegaverse main pack. They do eventually grovel their heads off, especially when Adrian comes into the picture. Adrian is *it*. His sweet, strong assurances with her are *everything*, absolutely loved it - can I get an Adrian for me please? lol
This book was good overall but not my fave of the series. I was just missing a bit in the writing style itself, I usually absolutely adore Ari’s writing but this just didn’t hit the same voice her others do - I love when she writes with more emotive imagery and I didn’t get that much in this one. I also am not sure I really got to know and like the guys apart from Adrian so it just fell a bit flat for me. I would have liked them and their inner thoughts about her and the situation more fleshed out, especially given how they treated her initially.
As always, though, I liked how much devotion and care they do eventually bring around and how she grows to trust herself and be proud of herself and let her omega free.
Overall, loved Bridget, loved Adrian, and enjoyed the read.

We now have the story of Bridget and her baseball guys, and it is SO GOOD, friends!
Tropes:
⚾️ Omegaverse
⚾️ Fake Engagement
⚾️ Enemies to Lovers
⚾️ Forced Proximity
⚾️ Groveling
⚾️ Hurt/Comfort
I loved Bridget and her misfit pack! These guys are kind of a hot mess and need to be reined in. Adrian was a fun addition to the pack to help give them the guidance and direction they needed. I loved how strong willed and independent Bridget was, but it was heartbreaking to learn why, and how the guys (and the omega squad!) helped her realize what she needed. I just adore @ari.wrights.romance omegaverse so much.
