Captured Innocence is better than I thought

First off, you need to read the warning mentioned on each of these books. The BDSM is mild but very explicit so you've been warned.

Crest Security is an agency run by a former Marine who hired only the best of the best. But its when a submissive who's well known by not only the owner but Jax and Connor ends up dead that starts the wild ride to the very last page. Lauren, who owns a adult toy company, who has a clue to the murderer if she can only remember it. So hang on folks because there several bumpy and wild ride before the murderer is reveal and Connor and Lauren fall in love.

I truly enjoyed this first in the series by Kennedy Layne. The mystery surrounding the romance just upped the heat for me. This is the first time I've read this author and I am pleased to say I will be continuing to read her.

Connor Ortega has always held himself back from relationships. There is just something so "permanent" about them.... (you can hear this going through his mind). Lauren Bailey sits on the fringes of the lifestyle that she designs "jewelry" for, but she knows that she will never get involved with a Dom. Neither one of them realize what life is going to throw at them ahead.

Definitely hot, but was a little disappointed at how tame it was. Overall, a good romantic suspense though.

I COULD NOT put it down!!
I cannot express how much I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

The writing was absolute perfection.
The story flowed with sheer perfection. All the characters were written in such a way as to make you feel they were real. It was thrilling to say the least.

The CSA team has a murder to solve.
The clues are all there.
A spectacular whodunit wrapped up in mystery, suspense, adult romance and intrigue.

The story literally weaves around you and leaves you breathless with anticipation.

I am so enamored with this book & the writing of Ms. Kennedy Layne that I have added her to my top 5 favorites.
Trust me, as much as I read that is not as easy thing to achieve!!

Meh. At least it was free.

Like many free novels, this one was in need of an editor. Stilted language, strange word choice, and a missed "your" (I KNOW, RIGHT?!) that, had it been at the beginning, would have resulted in me not finishing the book.

Read this book if: you want to learn how NOT to plot a suspense novel, you have interest in BDSM beyond "50 Shades," or if you have infinite patience for heroines who are Too Stupid to Live.

I honestly can't remember anything about this book, and I read it last month. That should tell you something. It was okay? I remember liking it?

DNF @ 35%. Putting aside Connor being a Dom in his sex life, he was a pushy controlling bastard. Lauren was a wimpy pushover who protested too much.
