ebs_ebs's review against another edition
Made it 8% of the way through and just wasn’t feeling it. Wasn’t a fan of the back and forth with past and present with the main characters. This is the second book from Alexandria House and so far I’m not a fan of her books. There’s a few more books from her I’ll try before I give up and call it quits with her writing.

Holding was so much fun! This is a second chance, (childhood) enemies to lovers romance that is quick, spicy, and filled with lots of moments that had me kicking my feet in the air and giggling. Ford did NOT play about Krystle, whether she wanted to call herself his ex-wife or not. Alexandria House is such a genuinely hilarious writer, and that shines through in this book as well. Pretty much everything I didn't like about Goal was made better by Holding, and I'm excited for book 3!

This book is good. But the character development was limited. The actions were not earned. It was a tale of tell and not show.

I love that this was about a hockey player a black one and the love for his wife.
