This one has everything I want in a closed door romance all packed into one. Lovable characters that are funny and relatable. I already really enjoyed Isaac from the first one but he continued to grow on me. Such a dynamic personality that just radiates good vibes.

As a introvert I definitely relate to Rosie’s struggle with social anxiety. But she’s so brave, taking the step to reach out to her crush. And I also really liked her relationship with Max is so sweet. My heart. That kid is to cute

I really enjoyed the trope of the secret identity romance and the fall out because of that. It’s beautifully written and I’m really looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Would definitely recommend this one if your into sweet romance

This was quite bad… I had to force myself to finish it so that I can see if I like any of the other books in the series.

I don’t think there are any aspects of this book that I liked… maybe that they drive through Asheville? I’ve always wanted to go there and the book really talks it up. But that was it!

The FMC is a stalker. I’m sorry but she is “in love” with a YouTuber she has never met and gets upset when he shares his whole life online… you can’t be in love with someone you’ve never met but feel like you have and then turn around and get upset with the person for over sharing.

I couldn’t stand the FMC and I’m honestly upset that the MMC didn’t leave her behind. The fact that them enjoying the same band is one of the top reasons they love each other pretty much sums up this book.

I would give this half a star if I could.

I've become a Jenny Proctor fan for clean romance and developing series of books that allow you to really get to know the characters!

The second in a series, this is Isaac and Rosie’s story.

Isaac is the twin brother of Dani from the first book in the series, Love Redesigned. He’s been a moderately famous YouTuber for the better part of his life and hasn’t been very serious about dating.

Rosie has been a fan of Isaac’s YouTube channel since high school and has always loved him from afar. She got the opportunity to move to Charleston to work on his team and her friends (also friends with Isaac) convince her to tell him how she feels. Rosie deals with anxiety but comes up with a plan to message Isaac on Instagram as someone else (a different version of herself) to have him get to know her in a low pressure way.

Though having my own anxiety, I did get a bit frustrated with Rosie and her hesitations towards things but I also can’t blame her. This book felt a little “hurry up and wait” and was definitely a slow burn. Isaac and Rosie have awesome banter and complement each other well.

Overall, very cute story with an

Love Unexpected is a cute love story (and a rom-com as advertised this time) about Isaac and Rosie. I loved that despite how realistic their characters are, their story isn't all too dramatic. This didn't have all those misunderstanding plots which for me makes it a very easy and light read - hindi masakit sa puso daiii. Their chemistry is just surreal and I love their banter.
