I'm significantly less interested in Aquaman, reluctant king who just wants to live a normal-ish life on the surface!!!, than Aquaman, terrifying god-king of the sea. Also I feel like Atlantis could use a diplomat of some kind. Also this story was kind of stupid. Taking the King into custody or whatever is unlikely to stop a battle that's already started?? It made my head hurt from stupid. Especially considering said army is far more likely to attempt to retrieve the king from custody than stop fighting.

This could have been...would have been a helluva lot better if it hadn't been a bloody cross-over event.

Its what I hate most about Marvel and DC, and why I often find myself giving up on their titles. Why cant we just have self contained stories? Why? WHHHHHY?

I remember when cross-overs were saved for something special. When it was actually an event. Now its just a money grab to make us buy other titles.

Fuck you.

Anyways.

Phew.

After all that...I enjoyed it well enough. I just wish it was all in its own comic.

Meh.

It was my first graphic novel which I lend from a friend - he recommended it for new comers and I really liked it! Justice League! :)

Aquaman just keeps getting cooler and cooler.

I wish I had more to say besides how much I'm enjoying this run. What made this story especially strong is how much we sympathize with Aquaman's dual identity and how complex his brother has been written. That we root for Aquaman who is literally standing between the Justice League in Boston and his brother + the Atlantean guard... that moment is beyond cool.

Not much Mera in this volume, but was delighted to see Firestorm and Cyborg.

Onward!

Didn't like the art as much this time and I was frustrated that the JL showed up. I'm reading an Aquaman comic, not a Justice League one!

I have loved every issue of the New 52 Aquaman series. I plan to see this through all the way to the end. The artwork and story are phenomenal! This was a BIG story arc, but I am sure there is plenty left to tell.
