I relate to this book more than I want to admit, and it makes me feel all kinds of feelings and emotions that I hate feeling, but they are important feelings. I have my own “Jace” just like everyone does I’m sure, and I think what is important to take away from this book, is that you do deserve to be loved, and you deserve to have the kind of life that you want for yourself.

What a journey. This book dealt with some really heavy topics of grief, self harm and just mental health in general. I think everyone has been a Blu or a Jace at some point. Hurt people hurt people and their journey really showed that. This is one of those books that just stays with you. The characters infuriated me, but that was the point. They were so deeply flawed and has so many deep rooted traumas. I like the original ending instead of the alternate.
Blu needed to choose herself after she recognized that Jace didn’t love her, or at least didn’t love her in the way she deserved.

The reason it’s a 4.5⭐️ for me, is because I related to this book HEAVYYYYYY. I have been in a relationship and situation similar to this and the challenges blu is going through make me reflect to the time I went through it also. This book has made me remember the growth I went through and the challenges I had to overcome and just ughhhhh, this book has a special place in my heart 😭😭🫶🏼
