I was soooooo triggered by this book, but mostly because it reminded me of a time in my life when I had my very own Jace. Someone who dragged me down with him because he couldn’t work through his own emotions and wasn’t capable of loving me, despite me literally begging him to more times than I want to admit. A person who knew he was hurting me but refused to let me go. Honestly, this book was healing for me and if it wasn’t obvious already I choose the ending in which Beatrice chooses herself. That is the HEA in this book. Truthfully I loved the writing and the messaging and it was a fast read that healed the broken pieces of my 20 year old self.
jace is a poor excuse of a man, blu is a queen for healing tho.

Listening to the Audiobook I really enjoyed the narraters, they both did really well.
I really enjoyed the story, I enjoyed Blus character development and watching her grow. The story offers an alternate ending, which I personally did not care for. I don’t think it added well considering their relationship and it defeated the progress blu had in therapy.
Overall it was beautifully written and the emotions portrayed were very well described.
