Has its moments.
Some parts feel like there is no feeling behind the words. No purpose no red string following through. Just a collection of notes laying around on her desk..

This is Lena Dunham clearly depicting, well, Lena Dunham. The book was very striking and witty. I certainly enjoyed this read (it is a pretty quick one at that), however I just feel as though Lena Dunham tries a little too hard to be forward and raunchy. I don't doubt that this memoir is based off personal experience, however some of her clear depictions of the relationships within her life seem far too colorful to be fully believable. In sum, this book is a solid read and is a good peek into the life of this quirky up and coming woman.

The best things about this book: it's easy to read on a beach in summer and Lena Dunham is a good writer, as in she has an innate witticism and interesting turn of phrase.

The worst things about this book: it was a huge letdown to me, as it just wasn't very interesting. Easy to read due to her writing style, yes, but did it have any insight or particular beauty to edify my day... nope. I hope her next one is much better, as I love Girls, and am sad to only be able to rate it a measly 2 stars

DID NOT FINISH

Dnf.
Porque é que alguém quer saber sobre a vida sexual da escritora???
Nunca mais compro um livro sem saber sobre o que fala

I enjoyed the way Lena Dunham composed this book. It was relatable and interesting.

I love you Lena!!

If you don't like Girls you probably won't like this. I used to think I hated Girls and confused Lena Dunham for her character. But I'm over that and now appreciate her, the show, and this book.

UPDATE: No I don't, she's a racist narcissistic dick who lied about a rape survivor's credibility.

While she can write well, I'm not too sure on the point of the book at all. Ramblings that seem identical to her character she plays on "Girls". I was intrigued enough to finish the book, so I guess that says something.
