Loved the journey of this book. There were so many times where I wanted to grab Pepper or Opal by the shoulders and shake them, but that made their growth all the more enjoyable. Love how vibrantly flowers were woven in to the whole story, and I really want to see the floral sculpture in real life!

I kept pushing through hoping that it would get better and it just didn’t. This is the most millennial cringe book I’ve ever read. The characters are all obnoxious and immature. I just can’t keep reading this.

Soothed me but I do have some complaints namely that they comfort each other through a panic or tragedy approximately every chapter and that their characterizations weren’t different enough so I sometimes couldn’t tell when it would switch POV.

Pepper and Opal’s story is unflinchingly messy. These two polar opposites, a sunshine/grumpy pair, shouldn’t work but it turns out that all their differences complement each other in all the right ways. Mazey Edding’s writing is hilarious, heartfelt, and achingly honest. I highly recommend this book for all lovers of sapphic romance!!
