I loved the first story and would love to read more stories that feature the matchmaker.

I enjoyed the next story; however, it didn't feel quite like the time and place, which pulled me out of the story some. Also at one point something happened that didn't seem possible with what had happened previously.

I enjoyed the third story. At times it also didn't feel like the time and place, but it wasn't too distracting. I would love to read stories featuring other characters in the story.

I enjoyed all 3 novellas! The first one had a Mary Poppins of a matchmaker which I thought was a clever twist for a Regency romance and I'd love to see her character in other stories. The 2nd story was fun to see an American suitor and the differences in their culture and I loved it enough that I felt like it ended much too soon! And the third story was sweet and I loved the characters but it felt a bit rushed to me, of course it is a novella.

Three really interesting and very original regency romance novellas! I really enjoy reading these women's stories. They're very clever and inventive!
The first story was fantastic! It was such fun to read, very romantic and had some very unique perspectives. There is a fantastic match maker who is actually interested in the true love of clients, a young woman pretending to be awful to stave off suitors and an adorable man in love with her. Great story, well worth reading!
The second story was also unique in that it centers around the life a woman would have if all her family were gone and she had to work to support herself. It's interesting to see how things on that side of life would have been. Toss in an American who doesn't get English culture and a couple of bad guys and it makes a very interesting read. I thought it was fantastic and sweet.
The third story was also very fun and different. A young woman who has never left her small village meets up with a dashing Lord in a field near her home. There is dancing, kissing, social intrigue, everything one could want. I thought it was a very enjoyable story to read.
Go get the book and check out these cute stories! Check out the other novella collections they have created, while you're at it!

This was a cute collection of romance novellas that helped me pass an evening of not feeling well. All three of the stories were good which doesn’t always happen in this compilations. They also differed from one another to make a varied collection.

Another wonderful Timeless Regency collection! The three novellas in this collection all had something to do with Grosvenor Square (and I admit to having to research a little about the significance of Grosvenor Square!). Even with this common thread, however, each story was so unique and had well-developed characters. There was "secret" love, a hired matchmaker, a talented baker stuck in the working class, a visiting American, a slew of meddling mothers, a field for a ballroom, and more!
I loved how one of the stories was written from the perspective of three different people instead of the usual two (or one) - I hope we get to see more stories of the matchmaker in the future! (And in another story the heroine's last name is Humphreys - almost spelled "correctly"!) Because of the nature of short stories, relationships tend to develop quickly (and sometimes unrealistically) but I thought this aspect was handled well in the two stories it applied to. I also thought it was interesting to learn more about some of the customs, class distinctions and society rules of the time period.
Note: I received a free ebook of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A Match for Princess Pompous by Sarah M. Eden: Very entertaining, with a very different approach to a Regency romance. I loved Mrs. Northrop and the extra element she added to the story line as the matchmaker. The four main characters were well developed and well matched, as friends and as couples. I enjoyed their banter back and forth and their developing relationships. Though Miss Summerfield and Mr. Lexington's story was slightly less prominent, while Odette and Jack's took the forefront, there was a balance and I enjoyed how well they were woven together. I definitely hope to read more about Mrs. Northrop's adventures in matchmaking in futures stories from Sarah M. Eden!!

Confections and Pretense by Annette Lyon: I struggled with the flow of this one a bit, but I enjoyed Davis and his relationship with his cousin and her husband and how he stood up for Anne. I also was fascinated to read about how the ices were created and that setting for the story. I have read about them in other Regency stories but didn't realize that the term ices meant ice cream or that they were molded into fancy molds and all the work that went into creating them, especially with no refrigeration at that time!

Little London by Heather B. Moore: At first, I wasn't sure if I liked this story line because the two main characters only had two times they were together and the rest of the story was just them separately, so I wasn't sure how the love story could work. However, by the end and with the epilogue, I enjoyed the story and how it all came together. The writing was great and all the characters were interesting in their interactions with each other and their individual personalities. I thought the mothers were funny, by the end, though not at first! The meeting in the meadow was unique, as well as Ellen's imagination, but, again, it took me until the end of the novella to really accept and like where the story was going. ha ha

Overall, this is a great collection of novellas with the theme of Grosvenor Square, although each individual and unique in their own way. I always enjoy reading these anthologies, for their fast pace as well as the writing styles of different authors each time.

***I received a copy of this book from one of the authors and also on a blog tour in exchange for my honest review.**

A Match for Princess Pompous by Sarah M. Eden - 2.5 ⭐️ I didn’t feel any chemistry between the h and H. This is the first book by Sarah M. Eden that I didn’t like.

Confections and Pretense by Annette Lyon - 2.5 ⭐️ I really enjoyed the romance but I just can’t suspend my disbelief at some parts.

Little London by Heather B. Moore - 3.5 ⭐️ Pure fluff. I don’t usually like a story with love at first sight but the characters are thankfully sensible about it.
