Not as good as the first book but still excellent! Kinda want a third one if I’m being honest!

It was a good book. I enjoyed it. But I think book 1 was sooo much better. In some ways. Book 2 was very predictable.

The first 20-30 pages and the last 20-30 pages are just not good and the ending almost ruined the whole book for me. Was a bit disappointed.

This book wasn’t necessary. It really wasn’t.

The pacing was all over the place. Finding all 7 crystals was too long and anti-climatic each time. Our great MMC from RP1 had became so freakin annoying. And the final boss fight was so blah and over way too soon.

Overall: Too long. Too much whining and pining. Too meh.

If you want to read this book, it can still be fun if you don’t expect too much from it.

Granted, I’m not the target audience for this book, but this was incredibly dumb. I very much enjoyed the 1st book, and was hopeful that this would be as fun. Hopes dashed! It was all awkward and cringeworthy, and the ending took the cake for stupid, "Did an 11 year-old boy write this?!" unbelievability. The 80s music references were fun and earned the 2nd star from me.
