Hallowe'en Party

Agatha Christie

3.39 AVERAGE

Trigger warning: children in harm's way

It's not my favorite Agatha Christie, but it's fascinating. I love how she describes the Halloween party. Snapdragon and bobbing for apples... it sounds nice, though I wouldn't want there to be murders in my party :-D Unless it was a murder mystery...
This is a very good read for October. I recommend you also read [b:The Hound of Death|450779|The Hound of Death|Agatha Christie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1374713913l/450779._SY75_.jpg|2785408] and [b:The White People and Other Weird Stories|11226926|The White People and Other Weird Stories|Arthur Machen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1311702486l/11226926._SY75_.jpg|16152817], and The Leopard Lady by Dorothy L. kinda interesting but way too much roundabout yapping

Yet again, another classic mystery novel. A quick and easy read. Hallowe'en Party draws one in from the start. One does not want to put the novel down until finished. Although, it is easy to figure out one part of the mystery half way through, you still continue to read. You know there are many surprises to come.

There was a whole lot of discussion on if various children in this novel were good looking/fat/"sexy". Not a fan.

Always a fan Poirot, I may be spoiled on narrators so I think I’ll probably stick to reading Christie as opposed to listening, but I can’t wait for this movie next year!

The worst Agatha Christie I've read thus far. Not her best story or characters.

Just not my vibe - I tried.

i LOVE Agatha Christie but am not a huge fan of the Poirot series. I read this one specifically for the GR Reader's Picks challenge "Fall Vibes" category. This felt like it took an Eternity to read.
i wasn't interested in the subject matter at all, didn't care for any of the characters much, and am just glad to be done with it. There were some good quotes tho and i can't bear to give an AC book less than 3 stars :)
