Excellent story and audiobook.

Livro com bastantes personagens, o que o torna confuso.
Apesar de tudo consegui ficar surpreendida com o final.
dark mysterious slow-paced

This was a fun mystery but by no means one of Christie’s best. I managed to guess “whodunnit” halfway through, and the ending fell a little flat for me.
mysterious fast-paced

A classic Agatha Christie but thus far nothing has beat murder on the orient express in my book ♥️

Well I've only got 3 more Poirot books left to read and I'm escalating through them. I was familiar with this having watched the David Suchet version recently (thinking I'd already read it) so the twist was spoiled for me. I also watched A Haunting in Venice which has almost nothing to do with this (and was fine but nothing special).

I quite liked this but it's clearly a latter day Poirot and he feels just a little off, more verbose with more time spent with him and in his head. It's perhaps more expansive and I'm not sure if I liked it. While some of the latter books have the odd juxtaposition of a 'modern' (relatively) setting, this feels more of a throw back in scene. The most modern aspect was the repeated conversations around the safety/sense of releasing people with mental health issues into the community (seriously, it comes up again and again).

Still, it has an involved plot and while the killers are not too hard to figure out, the whole thing was well done. So, better than The Clocks or Elephant but not peak Poirot either.
