That was psychotic. Even for Christie.

A pretty forgettable mystery.
We get it - the kid is annoying and lied a lot... She also died!
My library hold came in later than I'd hoped and this filled a challenge prompt so I read it in December which isn't ideal.
I assume that they've changed a bit if this inspired the "A Haunting in Venice" film.

This is really a 3.5.
After a very slow start, it gripped me and I really enjoyed the second half.

I almost figured this one out but there were still a few surprises. Five stars because a slightly less good Christie is still miles ahead of most authors.

I’m the perfect mystery reader because I never can guess whodoneit! Wanted to read this before seeing the Haunting of Venice which is loosely based on this book. Absolutely worth a read! I’m not too snobby to enjoy “one of Christie’s weaker books” or whatever.

What a nice whodunit book! There is no mystery Hercule Poirot can’t solve lol
