3.5 I have to admit, I was surprised I enjoyed this book after being thoroughly disappointed in the last couple of his that I read.

I'm not ashamed to say that I like John Grisham and this was exactly what I hoped it would be - thoroughly enjoyable.

This book was great!!! Read it in a few days.

As always John Grisham delivers a good story.

The premise, a trial about a will contest, is one that doesn’t illicit much excitement initially, but Grisham’s writing just fires you through it at a breakneck pace. It should be boring, but it just isn’t, and I don’t believe you if you say that finale isn’t satisfying af.

Best Grisham in at least a decade. He should really stick to Jake Brigance/Porsche Lang novels :)

Just ok. It was overly long and the best part of the book was the last couple chapters. I would have been good with an abridged version of this one.

Love Grisham books. Another page turning winner.

Sycamore Row by John Grisham
Attorney has been hired. Seth is dying and has left a hand written will then hangs himself from the tree.
There were other wills over the years and the children and other family members have been written out of the will. There will be a huge trial as a judge and jury decide
what to do with the man's estate. They are finding out he was very wealthy.
Interesting to learn how things are dictated from the grave and what the court system does with it all....and all the testimony they are able to obtain...Loved hearing about the old times and what constitutes a 'row'.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Even though the plot revolves around a contested will case there is still plenty of suspense which, added to some great characters and the Ford County setting, made this an audio book worth the listening time. The narration was done by Michael Beck who did a wonderful job with the southern accents.
