Wow. This was not the story I remembered. I was bored almost all throughout the book. The only thing that saved this story was Jem and Will’s love for each other. Also, I cried when I read the epilogue.
But there were so many problems with this book, I’m not sure I want to list all of them.
My main problem was that I could not believe Tessa loving either of the boys. She said pretty things sometimes, I give you that but Will and Jem did all the work. They gave all of them to Tessa and loved her with actions and words. I love them.
Still think Tessa should not have been a love interest though. She lacked character, she was a shadow of a person. Why were the others so flashed out but not her?
I did not care for any of the other characters in this book. They were all boring and idiotic.
Obviously, I changed a lot since I last read it. There are problematic happenings -I don’t want to spoil anything for those who have not read it yet- that I just can’t ignore anymore.
This reread brought up many memories. I’ll still cherish this trilogy and of course Will Herondale I’d marry you any day.

So much sad and so much happy together- I felt completely bipolar while reading this book, but I'm at peace with how it ended. How tragic, but how perfect.

Hayda, ben bunu okuyalı evvel zaman içinde kalbur saman içinde oldu ama kaydetmemişim. Acaba kitabı bir kenera atıp "lalala la la la düşünmek istemiyorum" filan moduna mı girmiştim? Olabilir.

One of the most beautiful love stories I have ever had the pleasures of reading. Thank you Cassandra Clare for this fantastic world you have created.

My heart broke a tiny bit when I finished the last page. I love this series, this world, so much.

William Herondale is the man I dream about. James Carstairs is the best friend I've always wanted.

I hope that while I'm in London next month I get the opportunity to visit Blackfriars Bridge and imagine Tessa and Jem there. And possibly the cemetery that Will visits in CP1.

I didn't want it to end.

Sigh.

Rari, no sé.
