This was a BookBub recommendation, and the price was right. I ended up thoroughly enjoying it though. If you liked Stephanie Plum, you'll love these books.

After suffering serious burns to her hands in book 2, Swept Under the Rug, Maggie finds herself having a crisis of confidence and her marriage is suffering as a result. Desperately wanting to mend her marriage and find her confidence, she accepts a job exorcising a ghost from a haunted house her mother in law has just bought.

But it seems the ghost is the victim of a decades old unsolved murder and Maggie and her crew find themselves investigating.

description

All Washed Up is probably the weakest book in the series but it's also the most fun in my opinion. It reads like a cross between a Scooby Doo cartoon and a TV sitcom halloween special. I'm guessing Jennifer L. Hart intended it to be so based on her referencing Scooby Doo in the book.

The biggest weakness in the book is the ending which felt rushed. That said it's a light, fun read and worth the effort for fans of cozy mysteries.
