As a huge fan of Greek mythology: I loved this interpretation of the Odyssey and very much enjoyed the art style, despite it being over-realistic and a bit rough around the edges.

The story is immersive, and so is the dialogue, and the art style- I personally loved the color palette and the way it divided the countries and the worlds so it was easy to follow!

I would say if you are a huge fan of Greek mythology or the Odyssey in particular- get the graphic novel, it’s a must!

While not exactly written for my son’s age group, Max really enjoyed me reading him the story of Odysseus through this graphic novel adaptation by Gareth Hinds. This was one of my favorite books as a kid & so to see the story come to life in these vivid illustrations was really neat! Max liked pointing out the boats & the birds & the “boo-boos” that everyone was getting

again, i wish all my books for school could be graphic novels or at the very least have pictures. this was a great way to engage with the odyssey, and it gives a great foundation to reading it this year in school!

A fun interpretation. All the most important plot points were there and he tried to keep some of the lyricism. the drawings are sketchy which makes them feel a bit crowded, but I did like the color scheme of the book.

This was a really good retelling of The Odyssey and much more digestible than the normal full text.

A great retelling of the classic Greek myth. Hinds does a fantastic job recreating scenes from Homer's story. I will be recommending this to anyone who enjoys mythology.
