Now we are getting somewhere...
So, a lot of sex, and quite a lot of... hmm... what's it's called in English? Excitement? Thrill? What ever. I was seriously worried a couple of times.
And quite a lot of violence :-D The honeybadger in me likes violence. :-D
And I love Shelly's bears. I'm married to a guy like that :-D Apparently my romance novel likes depend hugely on the hero. Give me a quiet, gentle bear, and I'll give your book 4 stars :-D If the female is a feisty fighter, even better :-)
And I have to say, I even like Gwen's mother. :-D

Fluffy and light, keeping up with the tone of the previous books in the series, this is the story of Gwen O'Neill, Mitch's hybrid lion/tiger sister and Lacklan "Lock" MacRyrie, a huge Grizzly shifter.
The two briefly meet at a wedding and have a short adventure together before going their separate ways, only to unexpectedly meet a while later, both unwilling to let the second chance pass them by.
There is undeniable chemistry between them, and despite the obstacles in their way, mainly from Gwen's overprotective brothers, they become a cute couple that make one another better.
Brain candy with a number of kooky characters and situations that keep you entertained.
Next comes Gwen's best friend Blayne's story in [b:Beast Behaving Badly|6972157|Beast Behaving Badly (Pride, #5)|Shelly Laurenston|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1438979303s/6972157.jpg|7212076].

I like that Laurenston writes about violent, but loyal women. I had worried that the Magus Pack series was a fluke, but I'm glad I was wrong.

2.5 stars. While very good, I think the romance was under developed in this one. Although it was very quirky and fun.
Really enjoyed this story. Had me laughing so hard I was crying, several times. I wish the plot was a little stronger. Meaning the 'heroine in peril' or conflict seemed relatively non-existent and it was mainly a romantic plot. I'd give it 4.75/5.
re-read and the book is still fabulous.
Oh my God, I LOVED this book! Shelly Laurenston is my new favorite author. I love everything she writes. It all makes me laugh.
Lock is the greatest shifter ever on the face of the Earth. Gwen was hilariously crazy. Like she was kind of a nut job. She was terrified of doctors, thought they were going to harvest her organs. Im not quite sure why that was so funny to me but it was. Lock was extremely laid back. He is one of the best written bear shifters I have ever read. Lock was huge, he was curious about everything, he loved honey, he took all the drama in and didn't really care about it, and he played with his toes. Seriously, I am in love like I have never been in love before. I loved how he was with Gwen and I loved how little he cared about all of her brothers drama.
I am almost too in love with this book to talk about it rationally. I keep wanting to say I love it and then my mind goes all gooey and lovey and I want to marry Lock. So this is all I'm going to say. I LOVE THIS BOOK! I LOVE LOCK! I loved the relationship he had with Gwen (even if I hate her a little bit ;) This is by far my favorite boo from the series. I honestly don't think it can get any better.
