I entered into this short novel not really having any idea what it was about nor obviously did I have any inkling of the author's style or personality. And all around I would say it was an okay book. Because of the blurbs I was expecting something shocking with respect to relationships and misogyny. There was an alternate storyline in the book that actually featured more prominently pertaining to drug abuse. And all in all (whether it's because I'm a cad of some sort or I'm just used to this type of fiction) I didn't find any of the book all that shocking. Mildly entertaining but nothing special.

This book was interesting. A long while ago I saw it somewhere on the internet and a few things intrigued me about it. First it was published anonymously so we don’t know who the author is and second I saw the first page and the first page is very intriguing. From that I knew it would be a heavy book but it was so interesting and there was this mystery element to this book. Also reviews are all over the place, people either loved or hated it, and so I wanted to give this book a read. Overall I’m very in the middle about it. The main character is deeply disturbed and I saw someone say in a review the book is about what people do to each other and I would say that if you look for it that is a lot of what this book it about. It’s a short book but I did kinda have to force myself to finish it because I just don’t think it was really my type of book so I don’t think I’ll read the second one. I’m so curious if this book is autobiographical in any way and it was interesting at times and funny sometimes when the author broke the fourth wall. An interesting book but glad I finally got to see what it was all about and check it off my tbr.

I didn’t understand the concept that much. It’s a love-or-hate book. You’re either going to feel inspired by it, or confused. The reason why I decided not to finish this book is because it confused me, and bore me. I wasn’t really interested in reading an autobiography of someone who liked mentally hurting girls, and I saw no poetic way of it or meaning in it. I felt weird reading it.
