Yet another Lispector that lives on my shelves with every single page annotated. Brilliant. My hero.

I don’t want to leave star ratings because Clarice Lispector did what she does so well in this book, but it’s sooo difficult for me to understand— it takes me a few minutes just to read a single page. I would personally rate this book 2 stars, but that is 100% personal preference and has nothing to do with the quality of the book. As mentioned, this book perfectly captures Lispector’s style of pondering the meaning of life— I just wish it was a bit easier to follow her.

Agua Viva is the third book I've read by Clarice Lispector. I think this is my favorite book of hers.

The way she writes cannot be described, you have to feel for yourself how she takes you into an unexpressed state that you may not even realize.
