This book was a bit slow for me in the begging. I knew I wanted to ready the se one book in their story so I kept going. I wish there would have been a bit more development in both the storyline and characters. The ending felt very thrown together and rushed, but I did really enjoy the story.

I really wanted to like this more, but the romance part was keeping me back. I was definitely intrigued with the world and the characters. Despite how redundant it was with Elizabeth's feelings towards Aleks, I was convinced alongside her about whether she was a replacement or not. It  was hard not to think that as we start seeing what Aleks is thinking as well.

Overall, still enjoyable, just didn't love it as much as I hoped.

I didn't read the previous books so I don't have much of the backstory of Elizabeth and Aleks. He was a little too hot and cold in a very sudden way, going from completely avoiding E to chasing after her and calling her his beloved constantly. I wish the story actually delved into his history with Julia and Gem cause I would be LIVID if my partner was just chasing after imitations of his first love. I haven't read the other books so I'm unsure if that story has been told previously, but it wasn't really addressed with E, imo.

Something about E and Aleks didn't quite resonate with me so also unsure if I'm going to read the next book when it comes out.

Also Aleks just killed Walker off stage??? Feels like a waste of a conflict. Also Roman ):

I Want To Love This and Yet

So I like this series. I actually like Elizabeth and Aleks better than I did Ryker and Gem. But robbing us of reading the Wicked Wolf’s death? We spend all this time building up this villain and we don’t even get to witness his end?

Also oh my god the typos. So many. There were several places that I have no idea what that sentence was supposed to say because the wrong word was there.
