This was so much fun. I’ve forgotten how much I loved reading and learning about greek mythology. I started this so I could keep up with the show and read Percy and Annabeth’s story for myself but the real bond of the book for me was Percy and Tyson. I’m so happy they had each other and I’m beginning to see a found family forming. I can’t wait to see what Thalia’s return means for the prophecy and Percy’s future.

This one is just about as good as the first one. I especially love the bit with Circe, but all of the modernizations of the myths are a lot of fun and very creative. Percy is such a hilarious, non-traditional narrator, and that makes the books even better.

Same stuff as the first, but fresh and innovative without getting stale. The emotional punches are real. This series is addicting and so now I go onto the next one!
