despite having known percy jackson for as long as the saga exists, i never encountered any major spoilers. or if i did, i've completely forgotten them. therefore i'm very excited as i discover all the twists!! this book is such a nice follow-up to the first one, meeting tyson was a JOY, i love him so much and percy finally acknowledging him as his brother in the end got me teary eyed. the watch was a very touching present too 🥹❤️ also welcome back thalia!!!! i figured this would happen what with her appearing in percy's dreams! hopefully she doesn't end up siding with luke though... anyway once again i can't wait to read more about this universe!
Much more enjoyable than the first. More continuous narrative structure and heartwarming character development. Tyson 5ever.

This one is really fun! I think it was a good second part to the series. Going back and reading these as an adult, especially one who read the whole set as a kid, is a fun throwback.
