Ugh I wanted to like this bc Karin Slaughter books are the best thrillers IMO and it had so many good reviews - I just couldn’t get into it. Not a bad book, just wasn’t for me!

Mijn eerste boek in het Engels gelezen. Even wennen maar als er eenmaal in zit is het echt volop genieten. Leuke eerste kennismaking met Sarah Linton een haar omgeving. Ik kijk al uit naar de volgende delen!

I needed something brainless to read and Karin Slaughter is always an enjoyable choice for that. Sara Linton, coroner and town doctor, finds a blind woman brutally murdered in the bathroom of the local diner. As the case unfolds and more women show up tortured but alive, it becomes clear that the case is somehow tied to Sara's past. Although I was able to easily figure out who the killer was, I still loved the plot and details the author used.

DID NOT FINISH: 17%

Maybe I'll try it later but right now I'm not interested.

A good crime story with lots of gore and blood. It wasn't very predictable, which is always a bonus. The only thing I didn't like was the main character, doctor Sara Linton, who was a pediatrician and a coroner (!) and she zoned out so often, it was a miracle any work was done.
Nice book, recommendable to the gore fans.

This book was a great read after the halfway point hit. I did not like Jeffrey until the halfway point hit and even though, I'm still kinda indifferent to him as to the reason WHY he is the ex-husband. Overall, this was a great mystery/thriller to read. It definitely made me want to finish to find out who the killer was. Will definitely keep reading the series.

Jeffery and Sara frustrate me but it's still a good book and I'll keep reading the series. Also wondering how things turn out for Lena. Girl's got a chip on her shoulder big as a house.

Well paced thriller, I didn’t guess the culprit until the end!!
