3.5 but I'm rounding up because of the chubby/plus size representation. I don't think I've read many books that feature a larger woman as a hot, sexy, and nearly famous pornstar. Though the main character's insecurities were mentioned, they weren't something that felt like it needed to be changed, which was definitely appreciated. I loved that aspect. The tension was also phenomenal. That being said, it didn't do much for me personally, which is why it was a 3.5. It's good, I liked it. I just didn't fall absolutely head over heels.

Writing isn’t very good. And the way the hero thinks about the heroine gives me the ick.

"A Merry Little Meet Cute" by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone offers a festive, dual POV holiday romance with commendable plus-size representation and a generous dose of spice. The lighthearted atmosphere weaves a charming tale set in Christmas Notch, Vermont. The authors skillfully portray the challenges Bee faces as she navigates her dual identity, but the narrative takes a questionable turn with Nolan's somewhat creepy objectification of Bee. The emphasis on comedy occasionally overshadows deeper emotional connections, and the characters, while entertaining, lean toward being over-the-top. Despite these drawbacks, the book delivers on holiday cheer and sizzling moments, making it a delightful choice for those seeking a spirited, albeit occasionally quirky, seasonal read. 3.25 stars.

3 Stars because 1) the spice was great and exactly what you would want from Sierra Simone 2) the plus-size rep is much needed and appreciated. However....please be prepared to be reminded on every page that she's a pornstar and he's a former popstar of the much-beloved band INK. Seriously. Every page.

Read while super sick. Large Print while my eyes and nose were running. The raunch kept me reading! Unique plot. Unique characters for this genre.

I went into this book knowing what it was. I knew I was getting a smutty book. So that’s not what bothered me about it. As a matter of fact, the smut was done well which is why I didn’t rate it lower.

The book was good enough to finish, but I felt the chemistry between the characters was not great. I also really found Nolan annoying. I can’t say why exactly. Maybe he was childish?

As for the writing, it was so-so. Some of the phrases or words used made me laugh out loud when that wasn’t the intention of the author.
