Seven kidnappings, six murders and the father of one of the victims is defending the alleged killer.

The plot was interesting enough to keep my interest through out and I was really excited to figure out the twist. To be honest, the twists I made up in my head were far more interesting than the actual twist. I think.

Also, romance.. I hate romance in thrillers and mysteries. I don't know why but I like it keep my genres separate. I'd prefer to read only romance, than read it alongside with something like a thriller. But the book was enjoyable overall.

Something I couldn't help to think of as I finished the book was the thing about the lawyer's wife. It sounded as though there was a story there. "Wife was shot with a gun while husband was out of town and their child's door was locked from outside. Who puts a lock OUTSIDE a child's room?". I expected it to be addressed at one point, maybe it had to do with the story or even if it didn't.

The mystery was good but why the romance!? I thought this was a cool concept and the plot twist was wild!!! My only gripe is the unessasary romance. Also the ending with Scott felt un-needed I get what it was supposed to show but mmmm no. I will say this authors twist was crazy messed up so I loved it and I like how this book didn't leave the reader with any questions. Overall great mystery just wished there was no romance.

Couldn’t put this down. Captivating, twisty and fast paced. One of the best from kindle unlimited.
