Narrated by Matthew McConaughey himself, the book gives insight into his mindset and how he is as successful as he is. I have a lot of respect for him after listening to the book. The way he was willing to gamble on himself in order to realise what he wanted in life was very inspiring (his transition from rom com movies to other genres.)

I resonate a lot with his number one goal being fatherhood, and the number two goal being finding and keeping the woman for him. I think I have similar goals, at least definitely the number two one. I do think fatherhood is important for me, the more time passes the less I can imagine myself not having kids. Although it could change, I think I'm in a very free flow state right now. My views could be completely different in a couple of months. I"m undergoing change. Back to the point, I think Matthew had very admirable goals and I should take inspiration for them when setting my own goals.

He was a badass mfer, that much was obvious throughout the book.

Listened to the audiobook on this one, because it’s narrated by McConaughey. It was more engaging than I thought it would be, part memoir, part musings, part poetry and life lessons.
