Heartless Sky by the infamous “Twisted Sisters” is pure emotional devastation in book form, and I loved every minute of it. These authors are absolutely ruthless, pulling no punches as they tore through the lives of every single character I care about. No one was safe, and by the end, I was completely shattered. The pacing, the stakes, the betrayals, the heartbreak, it’s all here, delivered with their signature blend of magic and malice. Thank goodness I don’t have to wait before diving headfirst into the next installment, because after this ending, there’s no way I could.
“‘You always smile even when it’s raining,’ she said, her eyes glittering with tears. ‘I like the rain,’ I pointed out, but when she looked at me like her heart was breaking, I hugged her tight. ‘I swear this will pass, just like every other rainstorm, we’ll find a way through it together.’”

What I find hilarious is how the fuck do Susanne and Caroline expect us to go about our normal daily lives after reading this? Like how am I supposed to just carry on as usual after this? HOW DO I JUST GO TO THE GROCERY STORE OR FUNCTION IN PUBLIC?????
My heart has just been ripped out of my body and obliterated. And then Suzanne and Caroline smashed it into the dirt with their boots and spat on it.
I swear the first 85% of this book was pure joy, pure happiness, pure laughter and pure hope. I knew I couldn’t trust it and I thought I had built up my walls and prepared myself for the inevitable but boy oh boy that’s a NO FROM ME DAWG. Nope nope nope nothing could’ve prepared me for that. I was reading through tears, clenched fists, screams, snot dripping down my face from uncontrollable sobbing. Jesus christ I am so wrecked from that.
