It felt like there was a lot more backstory and world building for side characters, which slowed the pace for me, but I knew it would have me enraptured by the end of the book. 😭

The way I’m so mad at this book. Just like the worst possible things happening to the characters I love. 3.5 ⭐️because it was FAR too long. So many extra unnecessary scenes and inner monologue happening in this one. And then for our fave couples to finally get it together only to be just ripped apart is so rude!

Okay. Deep breath. As much as I’ve been loving this series, and I do love it, it is starting to emotionally exhaust me. I’ve had to take little breaks between the books just to recalibrate my soul (and occasionally cry into a snack).

One of the most unhinged and brilliant things about this series is how utterly ridiculous it can be... and yet somehow, it just works. Like, please tell me how they came up with so many rhymes for Geraldine and her father? Because I want to shake their hand and also ask what they were on.
