Well, this was a major disappointment. So far I have loved (almost) everything by V. E. Schwab, and I expected to love this one, too. After all, I loved the first one, didn't I? (I had to pull out my StoryGraph app to check, because I wasn't too sure. Here's what I said about it: "No, it wasn't perfect. Honestly, Delilah was kind of obnoxious, and Kell was kind of boring, but this at least made for interesting banter. All the characters I really liked died almost immediately. But it was a fun quest, with excellent world-building, creative magic, and terrifying villains! I was so afraid of White London. And I can only imagine what Black London must be like after having seen that."
Oh. I mean, I went on to gush about other aspects, but this gave me pause. Because the main issues I was having with this one were that Delilah was obnoxious (she's not like other girls), Kell was incredibly boring, and there wasn't even any banter because they haven't seen each other yet at the place where I left off! I was so looking forward to seeing Black London (and thought this book was going to be an adventure to it) and maybe even bits of what's going on in White London now (I got only one bit before I quit), and instead, it seems that this was only going to be another visit to Red London. And while Red London definitely seems like the best/coolest London, I wanted to see the others, because why are there four if we basically never get to go to them?
It's usually time to quit when I turn to StoryGraph to see if others are having the same issues that I am, and in this case, that was true. And this was too large of a book with wayyy too much filler for me to continue after that. It's a shame, because I love V. E. Schwab, but then I remembered that the second Vicious book also disappointed me, and determined that this one was just not going to get better. So, with great sadness in my heart, I am pulling the plug at 99 pages. *Sigh.*

I finished this baby in 2 days, altho I basically forgot what happened in the last book since I read it a year ago. I need the next book now
