Oathblood is a collection of short stories centered on Tarma and Kethry. Some of them are chapters from the first book, The Oathbound, reprinted in their original form. But the collection also contains several new stories that add a lot to the overall story of Tarma and Kethry, taking us farther into their lives. There's also an intro by the author to the stories, which lends a bit of a behind-the-scene feel to the book. All in all, a good collection that adds depth to two of my favorite characters!

To me, this book is totally optional. It's a collection of short stories that go all over the timeline of the Tarma and Kethry' lives. And ... many of them repeat what's already been learned/'heard' in the first two books. :(
