Very good book! Slightly outdated (was published in 2006 I believe) but it is still fantastic. It is easily divided into logical categories, and reading the introduction makes it WAY better. It’s divided into past, present, and future societies. The writing is easy to understand, and annotating it is great too. Best of all, it’s mildly hopeful.
Graphic: Death, Genocide, Pandemic/Epidemic, and Violence
Each chapter is different, I would suggest googling each one separately for individual triggers that might be in it :)thewordsdevourer's review against another edition

Eye-opening, insightful, informative, and especially essential to understanding history and its parallels w/ our current societies in an environmentally damaged world today. It's actually depressing how the world did not heed this book's lessons and warnings, and how we're still fighting the same--if not even more severe--battles 15 years on.
Deeply influential on my own greater understanding on and conviction regarding climate change and human impact on the environment.
