Decent Cadfael, which in my book means an enjoyable read.

Re-read. Not my favorite of the series, but I still love the characters and the setting!

Fine. A little dull. I saw who the culprit was coming from a fair bit away, but to be fair, there are only so many suspects in a small, Medieval English town.

Probably my favorite Brother Cadfael mystery.

A little better than average, and I like Cadfael in general. The problems of agency for a woman with property in feudal england, plus love and the usual bad / trapped actors make for a fun story.

An interesting whodunnit but I was able to tell who the culprit was half-way through the book which, considering how short the book is, was a let down. The monk angel was a different take.

This one was enjoyable, despite the losses (prior to the book) that some of the central characters had suffered. However, I never did quite work out what the main villain of the piece thought they were accomplishing.
