I always laugh out loud at least once during a Stephanie Plum novel but I laughed out loud several times during this one. Love these books!!! Can't wait until the next wait.
Come on now...book 15 and Stephanie is just as inept at bounty hunting as book 1?
funny
lighthearted
mysterious
fast-paced
That's it. I'm done. I'm not reading another one of these stupid books. She always ends up at stupid lame Morelli's house at the end. Who wants to read about that? I need Ranger.
predictable but fun, a comfort read. Love Lula & gramma as always
I mostly didn't care about the story in this one. It feels like Lula is becoming more of a caricature in every book, which makes me kind of sad. Not everything needs to be so over the top. Not everything needs to catch fire. Relatively anticlimactic ending.
Definitely fun! Not high art, but a trashy good time. Sometimes I'm embarrassed by how much I love this series. They are definitely a guilty pleasure. I picked it up with no expectations and like most of Evanovich's books found this to be the best approach. If all you are looking for is a fast paced, raunchy and fluffy read this is definitely a good series to pick up.
The single stupidest piece of trash I've ever had the misfortune to read. Do yourself a favor. PASS.
Stephanie Plum is at it again! This time Lula and Grandma Mazur decide to enter a barbeque sauce contest to catch the men who decapitated Chef Stanley Chipotle.
All the requisite elements are there - exploding cars, crazy but inept bad guys, tension with Ranger, tension with Morelli - it's enough to send poor Mrs. Plum reaching into the kitchen cabinet for her secret stash of booze.
I never get tired of catching up with the gang in The Burg. I always laugh out loud at some of the things these people say and do. Fun stuff!
