"The beauty of the House is immeasurable; its Kindness infinite".

I loved the premise of the House and Clarke's descriptions of the world were spell-binding. I also really loved the ending, with our narrator coming to terms with his two identities - existing (in my opinion) as something greater than the sum of his two parts. Unfortunately, the journey from premise to denouement felt a little too "true crime", especially juxtaposed against the otherwise fantastical setting. Still, this is probably the most creative book I've read this year.

Lovely read, I just wish it had grabbed me from the start rather than midway.
