I found this now forgotten series while browsing my library, but I don’t really know what motivated me to check it out. I think maybe I’m on an xmen kick, and the new stuff isn’t coming out quick enough. I missed a lot of the x books from this time even though I worked on a few.
It wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. The story is pretty been there done that until the new Hulk joins. The team it is building is pretty interesting. I have historically not been a fan of Greg Land, but I actually think he’s getting better. The art is more dynamic and the characters are pretty expressive. I’m not sure if the coloring is doing him any favors though.

Schöner, runder Auftakt zum neuen Zyklus: Story und Zeichnungen sind gut. Die Figuren sind sowohl inhaltlich als auch gestalterisch stimmig. Wolverine ist glaubwürdig gealtert. Die Zeichnungen haben Charakter und das Layout ist dynamisch. Das Skript ist nicht zu geschwätzig, setzt aber bei den Figuren gute, markante Akzente.
Mir gefällt das 32-Seiten-Format nicht, werde aber beim Trade Paperback sicher noch mal reinschauen.

Es un preludio al mini evento que va a venir después: Weapons of Mutant Destruction.
Como buena introducción, se toma una grapa para presentar a cada uno de los personajes que van a intervenir y al final, desvelan quién es el villano.
Está bien, para qué negarlo, pero no llega a más del 60/100. Tampoco creo que fuera su intención llegar a más, eso sí. Espero que desarrollen de forma interesante lo que viene después.

Honestly the idea of it is ridiculous, but was it entertaining? I picked this up to see if it was a line I cared enough about to continue to follow. I was really surprised at how entertained I was. The story had plenty of humor and was very self-aware of just how insane the character is. I dig it though. This comic was really extra in the best ways. You just have to keep your inner Neil DeGrasse Tyson at bay and not logic it to death. I plan to keep reading.
