I love Carrie Aarons and small town, so add those together and add a pro baseball team with a forbidden romance and I’m ☠️
Hayes is a grumpy pro baseball player recently traded to the team managed by Colleen Callahan after scandal rocked the team. He doesn’t want to be there and she’s trying to do damage control. At first, Hayes is rude and makes himself an enemy to Colleen. Soon, he learns to respect her and have deeper feelings. But they can’t be together. She’s the team general manager and he’s a player.
They sneak around and things get complicated, but their love never fades. And a great HEA! Idk why nobody is talking about this one but it deserves more hype! It’s a quick read too!

Warning Track is the perfect introduction the Carrie Aaron’s new series! This was a one sit read for me and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! I loved meeting Hayes and Colleen! I think they may be some of my favorite characters. This is one of the best sport romances if 2020 and a book you definitely need to pick up!
I loved this book!! Colleen and Hayes. Two completely opposite people with nothing in common...right? I loved them together. I loved watching them hate each other, tolerate each other, and get to know each other. The tension between them...HOT HOT HOT! Love the start of this new series!
This is another book by Carrie Aarons that I liked.
Colleen is general manager of Packton Pistons and because she is
a) a woman
b) a daughter of a man who made some very bad decisions regarding the team and doesn’t feel sorry about it at all
she knows she can’t afford a mistake. Or a relationship with a team member (which would also be a mistake). He hates her family anyway.
The public is just waiting for her to screw up.
But Hayes is somehow always there for her. And once they agree to be friends, they start to fell for each other.
Their relationship had to be a secret. And you know what happens with secrets… the truth always come out.
I really liked Hayes. His actions were so dreamy and Colleen as a GM was so brave and strong, especially since public always looked at her actions and so many people thought she didn’t deserve the spot.
Warning Track was a cute, feel-good romance. A great sports romance. But as someone who is not familiar with the baseball, I didn’t exactly like it. It’s the game I don’t like or understand so more insight would be helpful. I missed that, to be honest.

Omg Colleen and Hayes really stole my heart. This was a fab story. I devoured this read
Sigh... I love a good sports romance storyline. Colleen and Hayes had chemistry from the start and you couldn’t help but root for them. Colleen steps in a world she’s alway been a part of, but now she runs the show and she has to win the respect of everyone she’s around. Hayes is sent to his own “hell”, is doing his time, and then he’s outta there. He helps Colleen get the respect she deserves and she helps him find home. It’s all kind of a enemies to lovers, work romance, friends to lovers, and sports romance rolled into one. Can’t wait to read more.
Slow burn, enemies to lovers, sports romance with forbidden love. Seriously what more could you ask for! A solid 5 stars. Such a beautiful easy read I was so invested! Hayes and Colleen have my heart.

Carrie Aarons seems to write sweet with a side of steamy, which is the perfect combination. I just finished reading her book Love at First Fight and enjoyed it -- which is what lead me to this book.
The story follows Hayes Swindell, a veteran baseball player, and Colleen Callahan, the general manager for the Packton Pistons.
I was immediately drawn into the story by the writing and enjoyed getting to know these two. Hayes and Colleen have an immediate attraction right off the bat. However, they can't really act on it because she is the manager and he. is a player... not to mention the scandal already surrounding her family and her job.
I will say, this love story left me wanting more. I feel like the author kind of skirted AROUND the relationship and described what was happening instead of actually SHOWING it. Like we learn in the book that they have been hanging out at each other's homes once a week but a lot of their "relationship" isn't explained.
You see them smoldering at each other then hardcore make out in a closet and THEN we learn a few chapters later they have been seeing each other. I like a slow burn but I WANT TO SEE THE MAIN CHARACTERS ROMANTIC INTERACTIONS!!! I feel like I was missing a few chapters or something between the two. I feel like I couldn't truly FEEL or see their love story as clearly as I wanted to.
This was just a cute surface-level sports romance.
PS - two steamy scenes
