Whilst this is a fun and frivolous book, it is also a really enjoyable and well written book. The hero and heroine are immensely likeable – Chloe is such a conflicted soul and clearly needs a confident man like Paynter to help her find her true self. Paynter is so caring and every time he seems about to give up on Chloe he sees something in her worth his effort.

On paper Chloe’s constant fluctuating of what she wants sounds like she would be an irritating character. But by seeing how she truly feels/worries when scenes are written from her POV, you can’t help but like her. The book is also written from Paynter’s POV which I felt helped the story flow and also gave me a better insight into their relationship.

The goat scenes near the end were just so heart-warming and gave me the fuzzy feel goods. The basic plot idea isn’t unique but the characters, depth of emotion, detailed story line and quality of writing work together to make this feel very different to many humdrum contemporary romances.

I don’t know what I was expecting when I opened this book, but this was more then I was thinking it would be. I guess I thought it may be some mindless reading with some humor. However, these characters had depth. Don’t get me wrong, I laughed a lot, but I also was really invested in Paynter and Chloe.

I would highly recommend this book.

Two last words…. baby goat!

First

This was my first book by this author and I will definitely be looking for more of her books. I really enjoyed the characters and the banter between them.

Sexy Good Story...

Sexy Bad Neighbor was not what I expected. Paynter is not a "Bad" boy, he's actually a family oriented nerd. Chloe is not "Bad", but she plays one in her day job, which bleeds into her off time sometimes. Their instant attraction aside, hey are totally wrong for each other. Their journey to each other is colored by past relationships, just when you think there is no way they'll get together they let their real selfs show. These characters, their high jinx, and some sweet sexy times make this a love story not to be missed.

The immediate judgement of the MMC by the FMC was a sour way to start the book.

At first I was starting to hate it. I hated the FMC at first, I just didn't like her personality at all. I decided to stick it out purely because I liked Paynter and I'm glad I did. I actually enjoyed the book and the character development that Chloe underwent, it made her more likeable now that I understood why she was the way she was. Yay!
