I’m genuinely sad to have reached the end of this series (for now). Over these books, I’ve fallen deeply in love with these characters and their story.

This book was a nonstop emotional rollercoaster—every time something good happened, it seemed like the ground shifted beneath my feet, pulling me right back into the chaos.

Darien’s love for Loren is something rare and extraordinary. He’s the hardest, darkest, most dangerous man in the room, yet with her, he’s soft, thoughtful, generous, and utterly devoted. She’s his heart, his soul—his salvation—and it’s breathtaking to witness.

The found family element shines just as brightly. The way the Devils would go to the ends of the earth for one another is fierce, loyal, and deeply moving.

This series has earned a permanent place on my all-time favorites list, and I’ll be counting down the days until I can dive back into this world.

This was almost 1000 pages of pure exhaustion. To be honest, I don’t think this book needed to be written. This was filled with constant back-and-forth of plot changes, then no plot change because it was reverted almost immediately, miscommunication and forgiveness tropes, and genuinely hardly any character growth. The plot from the beginning of this book hardly changed by the end of this book, and I feel like I kinda wasted my time reading this. This could’ve easily been half the length that it was. Almost every book in this series so far has been exactly the same: Loren isn’t doing well physically, we don’t fully understand her magic, her and Darien are doing well and then not well as a couple, people are after them, she uses her magic to blow shit up, they get separated from other people, then they get back together, and then they need to deal with the void. Thats it, and this was no different.

Very tense, felt like there was something going on that had me on the edge of my seat every chapter. I usually don’t like multiple perspectives but love it in this series. Excited for the next book! Such a creative story.
